The doctors of Venolase are highly experienced trained in the latest medical technology to promote aesthetic as well as inner health. Dr. Ghassemi is a member of the American College of Phlebology, the National Society of Cosmetic Physicians and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. He specializes in advanced vascular procedures, which include Vascular Laser Therapy for the treatment of varicose veins; laser athrectomy and sclerotherapy. He is also certified in minimally invasive body contouring procedures and Laser SmartLipo.
Dr. Ghassemi received his M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ)/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden. His internship and residency were completed at the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia in Internal Medicine in 1991. Following this, he completed a fellowship at Hahnemann University Hospital in 1994. In 1995 he completed an Interventional Fellowship at the Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia.
He has served as a clinical instructor of Medicine on the faculty of Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia since 1991. He currently serves as a proctor and teaches the method of laser varicose vein treatment to other physicians. He is licensed in the states of New York, New Jersey and Florida.
Dr. Ghassemi has been in practice for 17 years and has vast experience with catheter based procedures involving the use of local tumescent anesthesia. He is the Medical Director of the Vein and Laser Center at Venolase and utilizes the most advanced laser technology in the treatment of his patients.
Dr. Konlian is a member of the American College of Phlebology and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery and the National Society of Cosmetic Physicians, which has certified her to perform SmartLipo treatments.
Dr. Konlian earned her M.D. from Thomas Jefferson University Medical College in 1989. Her internship and residency were completed at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in Internal Medicine. She completed a fellowship at Atlanta’s Emory University in 1995. Her undergraduate degree was earned at Johns Hopkins University, where she earned a BA in Biology with general honors in 1984. She has served as an Instructor of Medicine at Emory University.
Dr. Konlian is certified and licensed to perform SmartLipo body contouring procedures and is certified to perform laser facial rejuvenation procedures as well as Botox, Juvederm and Restylane fillers.
She has been awarded several honors over her professional career, including Fellow of the American College of Cardiology; the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society; the Hare Medical Honor Society; she is the recipient of the Janet Glasgow American Medical Women’s Association Award of Outstanding Achievement; and she had graduated magna cum laude from Jefferson Medical College. She is licensed in New York and New Jersey.
Dr. Epstein is a dermatologist specializing in facial rejuvenation. Board Certified by the American Academy of Dermatology
A Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at NYU School of Medicine and formerly at Yale Medical School, Dr. Epstein previously taught medical students and dermatology residents medical and cosmetic dermatology at Bellevue Hospital New York University Medical Center over a 25-year period.
A graduate of Barnard College, she earned a Master’s Degree in Biology from Princeton University and her M.D. from Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons. She performed her residency in Dermatology at the New York University Medical School.
Dr. Epstein, a frequent guest on television and radio programs discussing dermatology topics, has published articles in medical journals and textbooks. She serves as a Product Safety Consultant for Avon Products and as a Health Office for the Village of Grand-View-on-Hudson, N.Y. She has been a recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award for every year since 2008. She is affiliated with the New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital.

Dr. Amarpreet Singh began his successful educational journey at the prestigious University of Michigan. While there he achieved a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology, and went on to earn his M.D. at Wayne State University Medical School in Michigan.
Dr. Singh garnered an internship with University of California, residency at SUMMA Health System and a fellowship at the University of Kentucky. Along with his residency in ophthalmology, Dr. Singh completed fellowships and further training in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with a focus on Reconstructive Plastic Surgery for the upper face, as well as a fellowship centered on Cosmetic Surgery of the neck and face. After being in private practice and teaching at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Clinic for a number of years, Dr. Singh decided to expand his scope and further his training in liposuction surgery and body contouring.
Dr. Singh is considered an expert in facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, and is one of the select few surgeons worldwide that has his unique training in not only plastic surgery of the face, but in plastic surgery around the eyes. His training blends the best techniques from general plastic surgery, facial plastic surgery, as well as eyelid plastic surgery – allowing him to fully evaluate each patient using a holistic and custom approach.
In addition to his role as Assistant Clinical Professor at Columbia University, Dr. Singh travels the world to provide charity surgery most recently in the Philippines and Russia, where he utilized his extensive experience in the field to instruct fellow surgeons on the latest reconstructive techniques. Dr. Singh has written for various publications including the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Ocular Surgery News and has lectured on multiple occasions for numerous Universities including Harvard and University of Kentucky. In addition to his resume of publications and lectures, in 2011 and 2012, Dr. Singh was nominated to the Plastic Surgery Practice’s,” Best Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeons”.
Kathy Vulaj BSN, RN serves as director and cofounder of Skincerely Med Spa in West Nyack, N.Y. Rockland’s Premier Medical Spa. Kathy started her nursing career in 1996 working in the field of Dermatology. In 2007, Kathy refocused her education and experience to pursue her passion as a Medical Aesthetic Nurse Specialist and started Skincerely Med Spa.
She was trained by and worked closely with several top NYC Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons. She has extensive experience and advanced training in state of the art lasers and non-surgical cosmetic procedures such as, IPL Photo Rejuvenation, Laser Hair Reduction, Laser and Non-Laser Skin Resurfacing, Dermapen, Skin Tightening, and Body Contouring. She is also well educated in Anti- Aging products.
Kathy attends advanced training courses and seminars and believes that on- going education is important to mastering up to date procedures in advanced skincare and aesthetics. Kathy takes time with each client, gives them and through consultation and believes in educating them on each service so she can help guide them on deciding what treatments are best for them. Kathy has a natural compassion and ability to listen to her patients’ needs and treats everyone exactly the way she would expect to be treated.
Ladan is a member of The American College of Phlebology. She earned her BSN from Pahlavi (Shiraz) University, one of the top three Universities in Iran, in 1995. She earned her Advanced Nurse Practioner degree from William Paterson University in 2014.
As a vascular consultant, she has been training Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Physicians throughout the states of NY and NJ.
With extensive experience in clinical practice in a variety of medical settings, she is highly skilled and experienced in performing vascular procedures including Ambulatory Phlebectomy (removal of varicose veins), and Sclerotherapy (injection of spider veins). In addition, she is highly skilled and experienced in dermal facial injectables. Based on her performance results and patients’ reviews, her treatment success has been highly rated.
